Scripting Process The process I went through to script my story was following the cues Mrs. Hood-Esparza recommended. I used bold to show where I wanted to emphasize my words, italics to speak slower and bold and italics to speak slowly and emphasize. I added (pause) where I wanted to take a beat or a breath, and I added spaces where I wanted to take a longer pause or stop for a longer amount of time. When scripting I really focused on when I wanted to speak faster and add more energy and the sadder parts where I added a lot of spaces to speak slower and heavier. I also had to add image cues, which cued the slides with pictures that added to my story or helped explain it better. I’m really glad that the slideshow was part of the final product because I think it was nice to have images to help others picture what I was saying and I think the images made it more fun, the images also tied everything together from biology to humanities to our personal stories.
